THello,
We have just started to prepare paraffin embedding of brain tissue in our lab. The problem that we are facing is many blocks are getting fragmented when we peel away the mould. Can you offer any trouble shooting in order to minimize the fragmenting of the wax?
Thank you

Hi I am experiencing problems with clearing and deparaffinizing. We typically use Hemo-De (Scientific Safety Solvents) but recently switched to CitriSolv (Decon Labs). Since we switche the to CitriSolv we have been seeing cell pellets which are orange in color and the paraffin is not clearing away from the cells. Do you have any suggestions as to why this might be? Is this due to the paraffin or the clearing agent?

Thanks
